Your photo of the swatches is not at all accurate for the Simonis green. Any Simonis green we’ve ever used looks much closer to your apple green swatch color. Perhaps the lighting you had it under was not very bright?

Every time I have had standard Simonis Green its been very dark. Every time. I wont ever have it again.

Lighting was just fine.

I’ll pass on the chartreuse and the powder blue, which appears to be a light blue/gray in the photo of your table. I did have it on one of our tables in here once. We might try the apple green next time we recover our tables here. Is that available from the Chicago based Iwan Simonis Inc distributor as a color they keep in stock, or a special order only? I’m not seeing it listed under any of their blends of cloth on their website?

I checked with Felice at Simonis in Chicago and she said they did indeed have the Apple Green. That was about three weeks ago. And I have never seen it on any of their websites either but Felice did say they still have it.

Tournament Blue, with Powder Blue as a classy, close second.

Powder blue was used in many a tournament back in the day. I find it the best color for the eyes and yes I believe it’s classy.

I went with Simonis 860 Tournament Blue on my Gold Crown. Made the decision to put playability in front of cosmetics for almost everything in the room.

Thanks. I’ve dealt with Felice at Simonis for the past 20+ years. I’ll get her to send me a swatch to see what we think, as it compares to the Simonis green and the tournament blue. I’m hoping it’s available in the 860 HR, but I doubt it.

Just curious how Master blue chalk marks look on the Apple green Simonis cloth? We have no problem With Master blue chalk marks coming out of the Simonis green or tournament blue color Simonis, but just curious if it’s any different on the Apple green color Simonis, in terms of how it blends in and if the blue chalk marks can easily be brushed out? Thanks

Really depends on the table and overall room if you have no real "playing" preference.
