I had mine done in Almost Chrome to replicate the original clear anodize finish. The coater had to do some pieces several times due to outgassing; a common problem in coating old cast pieces.

Cant you just polish the feet and castings? I polished my feet on my lathe and they look like very nice polished aluminum, kind of like a new polished aluminum wheel on a car. I have not tried the pocket castings at all yet because mine are in very nice original condition. This is a pic from when I was reassembling my table.

My feet aren't aluminum. They are a steel pot meal of some sort that were nickel plated. They were pitted pretty bad so I chose the powder coat route. Here's a before pic:
