I see where Brunswick is debuting the Gold Crown VII at the BCA show on the 19th.

Anybody have any thoughts on the new version of the Gold Crown? I've played on a Gold Crown V down at Nick Varner's store in Owensboro.

I still have my Gold Crown IV. About to have new Apple Green Simonis 860 put on it. Hard to believe it's well over 20 years old now.

Not making any guesses/projections. I did hear it has a metal frame which would be a big departure. Not all that surprising as just about every other table is headed that way. Mark Gregory was a consultant so it ought to interesting.

Wasn't there a clip on here awhile back of Oscar at Brunswick's place in Bristol Wis working with them on some of the design changes he would like to incorporate on the VII version?

I know he's seen and commented on it. All we can do is wait. More than the table i hope B'wick's new owners get them back into big-time pool promoting again. Escalade has the funds for sure.

How are we supposed to have any thoughts if we haven't seen it yet?
Thats what I was thinking but didn’t say it 😂. after what I’ve heard about the quality of the current cold crown I would just get an old one and be happy

Oscar and Gregory were closely involved in its development. The sponsored women pro's also had some input (from posts I saw on FB last year). I heard it's a steel frame with a 1 piece slate option for quick roll-in tournament setup. My frame/slate info is from rumors, nothing from a direct source.

Strangely enough this just popped up on my fb

I wonder if that's the real table at low quality to hide things, or it won't look anything like that.

If it's the real one, it certainly looks pretty, to me. I like the white way better than the brown tones available the last 50 years. I believe the last time white was an option was the GC1.

6 is $12,650 retail for 9’ gulley, 5” pockets. Idk if that includes installation. It’s out of stock. Also I believe local dealers probably regularly discount it.

7 I’ll guess will be the same price or higher.

There is an extremely small possibility Brunswick will price it much lower, maybe 8k, in order to get back market share. Just like Diamond did in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I would not bet on that though, even with big odds.

Hopefully the finish looks better than the black 6..... that is anything but a wow.

I pulled this off Facebook. I think it looks SWEET!!! A little homage to the Gold Crown I with the modern design. Oscar and Mark knocked it out of the park. So far, so good Brunswick!

The white is ok.. still nothing that knocked my socks off. I’m wondering if there is anything special about its make up underneath.
