Sorry to hear that the owner of Golden Cue had passed away.
Does anyone know if the pool hall can be kept open?
Can it be purchased?

The Golden Cue was going to close anyway, because Kenny was optioned out of his lease by the new owner of the property. Geraldine and I worked with Kenny for almost 6 months to find a replacement location, but since his 2nd heart transplant was scheduled he decided just to let Golden Cue go and retire. Kenny was doing very well after his 2nd heart transplant but began to deteriorate rapidly after about 3 months. We lost Kenny on December 17th last year, three weeks before GC closed in January.

It appears that there are plans to open something again soon in the City of El Monte, but I have not heard anything on that for about 60 days.

I miss your coverage of the monthly tournament from Hard Times.

Just sayin....

I miss it too, Johnny but it's just too much work to cover every month when it makes next to nothing. In the long run, I look at Hard Times monthlies as good practice for the best of what's to come. Let's face it, POV had many rough moments during those streams, but all the while a great learning experience or testing ground, so to speak.

While there's no happiness in this story, I really like the way you people came together to put some thought into keeping the man's pool life going.

Daniel, you are an alright dude.

I'm sure we did just what anyone would do for someone they care about. Thanks.
