This is the newest cue to my collection.(I think it may be my new favorite) The first Tascarella I have seen with anything but a maple forearm. This cue has a gorgeous piece of heavily figured Goncalo Alves for the forearm. 4 Ebony points, with 4 veneers. Maple, Brown, Yellow and Black veneers. Yellow M.O.P notched diamonds in each point. 4 Goncalo Alves razor blade window in the Ebony buttsleeve, along with 12 more Yellow M.O.P inlays. Awesome smooth black antique leather wrap. 2 unplayed 13mm shafts. My pictures aren't the best. Let me know what you guys think.

I SEE YOU'VE ADDED SOME MORE TASCARELLAS TO YOUR ARSENAL AS WELL. THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT.

Awesome cue. My Tascarella is on Pete's bench right now being finished. It's been 2 years, and the wait is almost over. It's going to be very fancy and unique. I'll post pictures.

Tommy,
Thanks for the compliment. I'd love to see yours when it's finished.

P.S... How do you get the Large Pics imbedded into the note like that... I would like to post higher rez pics of mine.

you have to host the pics on the web somewhere. there are several sites that offer that service. once you have them hosted, you just copy and past an active link into the post, and they open automaticly.

Very nice FnL. I like the overall decor and the dashed joint trim rings...nice change from the plain silver rings. I've heard that Goncalo Alves is an excellent wood for cues.

BTW, I heard that Pete is soon to take some time off and is very hesitant to take any new orders since he is out to 3 years or so.

Martin,
Thanks for the compliment. I have also heard that Goncalo is a nice cue wood. I'm unsure if i'll ever hit balls with this one though. The other cues i've tried with this wood, were nice players though.

P.S. i also like the dash rings instead of the silver ones. they're tough to come by in most of pete's work though.

tascarella

Nice cue you fiend.. They have clinics for you addicted people.. First step for admission is to get rid of all your stash..In your case your Tascarellas..I dont need help so send me your stash and I will send you $10,000 when you get out..

Goncalo Alves was Jerry Franklin's favorite playing wood, IIRC.

marcus - do you know how many cues pete has made total and how many of those are maple nose?

jeff

JEFF,
I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY TOTAL CUES HE HAS BUILT, I'M NOT SURE IF EVEN HE COULD ANSWER THAT QUESTION. ESTIMATE 20 TO 25 TOPS A YEAR OVER 30 YEARS. BUT I'M NOT CERTAIN.

AS FAR AS HOW MANY ARE MAPLE NOSED CUES, TO MY KNOWLEDGE THIS IS THE FIRST ONE THAT ISN'T MAPLE. I'M PLANNING ON SPEAKING TO PETE TOMORROW, IF I GET TIME AWAY FROM MY SHOP, TO GET SOME MORE INFORMATION. IF I FIND OUT DEFINITE INFORMATION I'LL LET YOU KNOW.

MIKE,
THEY SAY THE FIRST STEP IS TO ADMIT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. I'M GLAD I HAVEN'T REACH THAT FIRST STAGE YET.... PROBLEM......WHAT PROBLEM????? I KNOW THAT IF I EVER REACH THAT FIRST STEP, AND ADMIT MY ADDICTION YOU'D BE MORE THAN WILLING TO HELP ME GET RID OF MY STASH. THANKS FOR LOOKING OUT FOR ME.

I'VE ALSO HEARD THAT. I'VE ALSO BEEN TOLD UP TO A 4 YEAR WAIT BEING QUOTED TO SOME PEOPLE, AND EVEN A FEW TELL ME HE WON'T TAKE A NEW ORDER. GUESS NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE.

If you had called me like I asked in a PM I sent. I would have invited you to Marks since Pete will be there for a Blue Book photo op.
