Good Beginner's Cue?

I've been playing casually all my life (a few times a year) but recently purchased a table and need advice on a good cue to really learn with. Years ago a friend had a table and I always reached for the 21oz (which I've been told is good for beginners) although I don't want to "get off on the wrong foot".

My father-in-law let me borrow his Meucci but I don't want it to get screwed up in my hands and would like to have my own. Any good recommendations? I found this:

First you need a budget? How much are you planning on spending on a cue. With that in mind we can then determine what types of cues that are very well built in your price range.

Depends on how much you have to spend.
I would say if you are under $300 any cue from the usaul suspects-Joss-Mcdermott-Viking-Lucasi-Mali will get you a decent cue.
If you can spend over $300 i would look in the for sale section here.
