Good break cue?

I have a action j/b with a phenolic tip I'll sell you for 75, and I'll pay the shipping. It's a little heavier than 16. I think heavier is easier to break with because you're not swinging the cue so quick and it allows for a more precise cue ball hit.

Thanks guys. I really need it yesterday. In the end decided to go for the cue linked above with Next Day delivery :)

Just FYI, there's a lot of folks around who swear by the Scmelke cue with the #1 Brass to Brass joint. It's not too stiff, but rather has a kinda 'flexy' shaft.

Brass joint gives a Very Firm hit, and I'm told the 'flexy' shaft acts kinda like the pole that a pole vaulter uses and sorta 'whips' the cue toward the rack.

Just my $0.02

Here's the Schmelke joints:

If it were me I would by a player jump/break and have a phenolic ferrule put on it,you will have about 100 in it ,and I like an 18 to break with, they are great cues 4 the money Good Luck

I agree with others, JJ is the way to go for a budget break cue.

If you could go up to $150 range, the Fury would be a good choice.

I have an action j/b with a phenolic tip (possibly imitation phenolic, as one local banger suggested, heh) that I really like. You don't have the precision control you'd be used to, but with a good hit, you can still squat the cueball. It also jumps pretty easily. I got a break cue to match my playing cue weight, switching is seemless for the most part.
