Good Luck Keith

Keith triumped over Mika Immonen on a bloody hill-hill, which had the crowd on their feet and JAM hyperventilating.

The beginning of the match, Keith missed a couple shots, and Mika got out of line a few times. Keith shot out in the lead, 6 to 2, but Mike maintained his focus and never gave up.

On the Joss Tour, if you touch any ball on the table with your body or clothing, it is a foul, and during one game, Keith accidentally touched a ball, giving Mika ball in hand. Then the very next game, Mika broke the balls, and they were in a cluster, not an easy run-out. So he did the safety dance and got Keith on a 3-foul, winning another game.

Then Mika is on the hill, with Keith needing two games. The Iceman ran out to the 8 and choked on a fairly easy shot, but left it bad. Then Keith missed it, allowing Mika one more chance at winning this match. Mika fired at it, but left it hanging in the jaws of the pocket, allowing Keith another chance. When the dust settled, Keith snatched this win and is now guaranteed third place. He will face Thorsten Hohmann at 4:00 p.m., EST.

Sparky lost to Thorsten and will be playing a New York player named Smith, whose first name escapes me at the time of this writing, maybe Jonathan. Smith beat Danny Basavich and is still in this battle.

Ginky is still currently duking it out with Ralf Souquet, but Ralf was in the lead. Mika faces the winner of that match.

And, Timberly, I got me that purse and am happy as I can be. Defeating Mika was like winning the whole tournament as far as I'm concerned because, as we all know, Mika is a mighty warrior.

It's quite exciting here at the Turning Stone Casino. Will try to post more later. The computer room here shuts down at 4:00 p.m., but I may have access to a friend's high-speed laptop.

Go Scott Frost over there at Hard Times. We're pulling for you!

WOW that's great! Glad to hear that Keith's having a little "flashback" ! I'd love to see him take down a big tournament like this. It could give him the confidence to win even more of them! Good Luck!

Just more hot air!

Great to hear JAM!

Mika seems to be super hot at the moment so Keith must be doing something right:) Hope he goes all the way now.

At least you can be proud and satisfied whatever the outcome while you sweat the next couple of matches:D

Be sure to post a pic of it. I wanna see this here $400 purse of yours! :p

I was in Jacksonville to witness my ex get his first win over Mika. I know EXACTLY what you mean about feeling like he's already won the tournament. Whether he ends up in 1st or 3rd, he's already fought a heckuva battle and I'm happy for the both of you. ;)

Way to go Keith!!!!

Mika was my horse in Joe T's thread but the heck with it, I'd rather see Keith snap this one off.

Does anyone know how the Keith match is going? Could you maybe just lie to me, I have to go out and would like to leave happy.

Congratulations to Keith on his big win! Tough loss for Mika missing that eight ball but I'm sure he'll be a force on the B side.

JAM,

You must be so very happy and yet nervous now.

I can imagine the whole crowd pulling for Keith!!!:)

Good luck to Keith, thanks for the updates.:)

Final is race to 13 not double, unless they have changed format after players meeting
According to AZ article:
The match against Hohmann will be a rematch of their battle for the hot-seat. Hohmann won that match 9-5. The finals are true double elimination so McCready will have to beat Hohmann twice to earn the $8000 first prize.

It's 9:20PM EST, anybody got any updates on the finals match, we're dying for news here that Keith has snapped this one off!

Hohmann 13-3 in the finals.
That's heartbreaking... I so wanted Keith to snap this one off!

Just the same, Keith congrats on a wonderful tournament!! :)

To finish second in that field counts as a win in my book. Way to go, KM! Like the old Broadway song went: "this could be the start of something big"...actually that's what my ex used to say, well she said that when she still had hope. Man, I gotta get some sleep; Broadway songs? Ex-wives? Hmmm..there'll be action at Jimmy's tonight (and NO Broadway songs..or exes). Sleep later. Ta Ta.

Congratulations Keifer

What a great thing when an old time champion fights his way back to being a champion again. Keith will tear up the IPT and couldn't happen to a nicer couple then the Quake/Jam. :D :p :D
