China will sponsor the 2014 China Open, in Shanghai. late this June, the World 9-ball will be held in Doha.

The World 9-ball Championship is played in Qatar, not in China.

This is a WPA sanctioned event, however, and it will have an absolute killer field. A win in the China Open is very prestigious, and I'll join you in wishing the Americans who participate the very best.

Would've loved to see the entire Mosconi Cup team travel out for this one, or any other Americans for that matter. Good luck 'Murica!

Kudos to Shane, Oscar and Jeremy for making the trip. This will be an extremely difficult field and will offer some of the best possible preparation for the Mosconi Cup. The best way to prepare to play against the most elite international players overseas is to compete in WPA World Championships.
