I just got back from a good ole time down at Drexeline Billiards. Florida Bob put a new Triangle tip on my schon for me for a super cheap $10! I popped it off with my friggin burnisher before hittin ball 1. It's the first time I've seen the room since the flood, and MAN......THAT is a pool room. 2 heated Chevillet (sp) billiard tables, traditional 6x12 snooker table, and a bunch o sweet Gold Crowns in perfect shape. We played a couple hours of 1 pocket, then went to a close by Irish pub for lunch n beers, then a couple more hours of 1 hole to finish it off!:) We bumped into some old friends I havn't seen in 10 years which was cool too.

I just wanted to say how much I liked the new Drexeline, and if you all get the chance to check it out.......do it! there's something there for everyone.
Nothing like a day of pool at a great place with a good friend to wash away the work week!

G-man,
Well....the weather's not as nice as Florida, but I hear that Drexeline is one of the great eastern halls. I was just talking to someone who was raving about the Fusco's (as being very entertaining and knowledgeable players/teachers). Is this the place they hang out?????

Willie, I believe the Fuscos are still at the pool room in Feasterville PA called family Rec Center?, right next to Philly. I havn't been there in maybe 10 years. I think Karen Corr plays out of that room as well. I found this on the web at wikipedia...

Karen is dedicated to the sport. On most days you'll find her at "Pete Fusco's Family Recreation Center" in Feasterville, PA. Here she works with her coach, "World's All-round Champion", Pete Fusco, learning more and more about the game.

I went to
"Pete Fusco's Family Recreation Center" one Friday night and there was a $5 cover charge that could be applied toward table time. I guess they were having a problem with bust-outs just hanging out and not spending anything. Anyway there was a handwritten sign that said

'Everyone pays $5-Don't ask to see Petey about it-Petey says you gotta pay the $5!!

Gerry,

Pete moved out of that room and into another place in Bristol PA. Also a very nice room with GCs, bar boxes, and a ping-pong table. It's called The Spot and I believe it's on Bristol Pike.
