Good rooms around south Ft. Worth?

I just moved to the area. My favorite so far is JJ Dakota's on Camp Bowie. Black Gold on Crowley Road only has five 7' bar tables. Fast Freddie's on Crowley has plenty of 8' Brunswick tables, but the tables are mostly in a sad state of repair. Hell, the concrete floor is in a sad state of repair.:D

Say within 10 miles of I-20/I-35W intersection, and south. Of course, a great room anywhere in Fort Worth would be worth frequenting, also.

Thanks folks.

Rack Daddy's

Rack Daddy's that is on the south service road between Bryant Irving and Hulen off of 820. Right in front of Main Event. Have quite a few tables that have fresh cloth.

Did you know that that was U.J. Puckett's old hang-out? Hell, last time I was in there they still had his old favorite chair in the corner and a few ghost stories to tell (supposedly, the place is haunted by 'ol U.J.'s ghost!!!

Maniac (believes in ghosts :o)

P.S. I would also suggest Rack Daddy's. If you didn't mind driving west for about 15 more minutes, you could be at Rusty's off of Camp Bowie Blvd. It's a great place to get a game and has good equipment.

Rusty's was fun tonight. I'm going to check into (finally, after 40 years without) joining a league or two there. We played on one of 4 or 5 9' GCs. Ours was in excellent shape. They have several 8', and some 7' bar tables on the other side. It's more like a real pool room than Rack Daddy's.

Rack Daddy's is more of a sports bar. Rack Daddy's had really good food. We didn't sample Rusty's menu(?), but the proposition looked a lot more iffy.

We enjoyed both, thanks again for the tips.

If Rusty's isn't it, what's the best hall in Fort Worth?

Rusty's is IMO the best hall Ft. Worth has to offer. As for their food....well......

Maniac (usually eats before he gets there ;))

Wow, we live VERY close to each other!

I highly recommend Rusty's in Fort Worth, and see you have already been there. :)

I also go to Rusty's in Arlington, but Sat and Fri nights are super crowded with non-pool players. But, otherwise it's a cool place (and open 24-hours!!).

Is there such thing as an "anyone welcome" Ft. Worth AZBilliards crowd that occasionally gets together?

Not that I'm aware of. There are several peeps on AZB Forums who live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We see each other at tourneys, but no get togethers.
