I just had new wraps (unlaquered) put on a Meucci HOF 3 and a," Jimmy Rempe" by Meucci plus a complete refinish of the butt (including an unlaquered wrap) of a Meucci ,"airplane" cue (95-19) by Scott Sherbine of Proficient Billiards.
If your looking for some one to do a good job this is the guy. I'm really impressed with the work Proficient does.

I've heard good things about Scott for several years now. Very reasonable prices, too.

Here's the Meucci " Airplane" that Scott did a refinish on.

They have refinished a cue for me as well. I was amazed. I don't think I would consider using anyone else.

Yes, Tate speaks very highly of them.

On his home page right now (pic shown below) he's doing a Paradise Diamond King for me and 2 Brunswick BBC 265's from the 1920's, an ebony and a rosewood.

Besides his finishes, which are beautiful, Scot also does excellent repair work. He will replace warped handles, make shafts from the old parts, and basically make any repair necessary. He leaves as much original as he can. He gets the jobs done quickly and efficiently and is 100% honest.

I am fortunate to have someone like Scot to help me bring back these old cues to life, so that everyone can once again appreciate their beauty.

I never hesitate to send scott any of my cues, Instead of tying up the cuemaker and waiting months. scott turns them around fast and always does a perfect job! kudos to him! he is the best at what he does:)

I'm pretty picky.

Scot has my absolute endorsement for quality work at a resonable price.

Doug
