Gorgeous Envelope Case

This envelope case was made by a fellow AzBilliards forum member. I always knew him to be a great person, a good friend and a fine poolplayer and I had seen some of his leather work but I had no idea he could make something like this.

Never having been a fan of bigger cases, I've always been partial to envelope cases. I can't imagine having a sweeter set up than this.

does it have tubes, or how are the Shafts, and Butts seperated?

Nice case!

I can appreciate the uniqueness of its styling. Is it a 2 x 2 or a 2 x 4?

Very nice looking case.
Additional information as already requested above is much appreciated.

Very, Very Nice Case

Not nearly as gawdy as most of the other custom envelopes I've seen.

It Is A Beautiful Case, Thanks!

Mr. PoolDogue has excellent tastes in cues and cases and I would bet he does know someone that can build a case just as nice as this one.

Good rep headed PooDogues' way.

PoolSleuth,

The shafts and butts are separated with specially treated wrappers from Taco Bell burritos.

How did you get "un banned?"

Perhaps you will get to see this case at Alexanders.

Scott, its a 2 x 2. It is unique. The maker knows me fairly well and, knowing how unique  my personality is, he made exactly what I would have made for myself if I had the talent, skill, patience etc.

I rarely carry more than one cue, sometimes with two shafts, and had been looking for the perfect envelope style case. For me, this one fits the bill perfectly.

Regards

Keith, that sounds like a real problem. I've got some weights you can borrow. Maybe with a little strength training you can work your way up to a 2x4.;) :D

On a serious note that is a sweet case. Mark did a great job on it. I'd love to get one from him but I am just a broke pool bum..:(

Hey.....you are just as much a wise butt as me :D :p !!!

Actually, carrying around 3 lbs of eyedrops, an autographed picture of Mike Massey and a pound of whole bean Kona from Salt Lake Roasting plus my wallet and the cue - just wears me out~~~!!

I had to cut back to using 3.2 ounce shafts just so I could play more than an hour.

Do the usual to Doc Johnny and tell him its from me.

Keith

CCowboy

It is indeed a fine looking case and the more I tote it around the more I'm convinced its the perfect set up.

MATCASE (a fellow AZBposter) was able to get the outside leather rigid enough to give the cues much more protection than I've ever seen in an envelope style case.

The shafts and butts are separated by thin pigskin (I think he said it was pigskin) which MATCASE said is essentially the same material used on the interior of cowboy boots (probably exactly like the pair of cowboy boots the CocoboloCowboy is wearing right now as he reads this post:p ).

The pigskin has enough lubricity that the butts and shafts slide in and out very easily. The butts and shafts fit either way.

I'm impressed with the way he put this together.

He knows I'm finicky about the cues and cases I use and as much as I hate to further inflate his ego (JUST KIDDING:D )this case is a winner.

Thanks MATCASE!

okay how can i get this case! so simple

To get a case similar but not exactly like this case (it is a 1 of 1 and won't be copied), simply send me $1500 dollars:eek: , or contact MATCASE, a poster on this forum.

Talk it over with him and there's a fairly good chance you can get it for a lot less than $1500:D :D

This is "A # 1" Leather work.

AzBilliards posters and lurkers are all over the place.

Was in another city on business, walked into one of the poolrooms and promptly heard- "Nice case man, I saw that on that pool place on the internet!"

Once again, this case is absolutely awesome. Unfortunately, this case is nicer than any cue I own, so I'll have to go out and buy a new cue, just to match up with the case.

MATCASE is making a couple of cases for fellow AZBers who happened to see this thread.

You will not meet a nicer or more conscientious guy than MATCASE.
