he has a point, you should put coushin or foam or rubber inserts in each of the grooves. Just an idea to improve the design.

Good job though.

Guess what smart $$$. There is a reason why not to buy from you. My comment was just a suggestion. I did a constructive comment not a destructive comment.
Do not worry because I will not get intoxicated by your wood cue holders since I will not buy any from you.
You have 7 posts on this forum and you are already harassing people. You will not last long my friend. :shakehead:

WTF does that matter? Most of the damage that has ever been done to my cues was not a result of my intoxication... rather other intoxicated or clumsy people bumping into my chit...

What wuld happen if some arceclown stumbled into a expensive cue being held in this holder, wood to wood with some force?... if you had 2-3 cue being held in that and the entire thing was hit with enuff force to knock it off the table the wood to wood combined with the weight of the steel you are putting in them would cause some nasty dings I suspect

The rubber/foam was a pretty useful suggestion that you should consider.

But they do look nice, I think I'll take a few minutes and make one this weekend. With foam of course, lol.

Cue Rests

I must agree with Bestkites about using some kind of rubber/foam where the cue actually rests. There are alot of pool players that hate to get their cues dinged from cue rests. Also, please design the cue rest so it fits in a standard 2x4 pool case bottom pocket. Too many cue rests are just a little to big or wide to fit in pool cases. Overall I do like your design.

One more thing: PLEASE ADD PURPLEHEART to your cue rest option.

Sincerely,

Bob Olson

I am glad you know that.
Next time tell your cue holder friend not to attack people first time he posts

Dude, I was so kidding?

I guess that a single sentence can twist some of your panties .. and applies as harassments?? are you two dating?
Did that twist your panties

I appreciate the feedback as to there being no padding in the teeth, and I am trying to figure something out that wont appear tacky

. I was trying to create some good banter with the intoxicated comment.. instead I was Forum assaulted. Is it a full moon on your side of the globe?

Cue Rests

May I recommend thick leather (with appropriate color) for use as padding. The trick is to find the right type of glue.

?????Cuebux?????

Since when is it against the law to play pool while inebriated. In my younger days we invented a game for just such an occasion (combination
bank). Even in those times of disarray we knew better than to lean our cues against a hard sharp object. If you were to modify your cue holder with a padding of sort, i'm thinking you might be on to something. A holder like this might be desirable especially to bar owners imho. This is a tough crowd here an if you are anything less than humble they will feast on you. Hope this helps............:D   ;) ;)

Welcome to the forum!

I really like the idea you've got here. It's a simple yet personal and unique addition to anyone's case! One question though. Would you consider doing a design or some sort of personal carving on the top of your CueDaddy?

Here's an idea for a cue holder I just thought of that will protect the cue shaft as well as fit into a cue holder.

A weight should be added to the end, either on top or inside the back part of the holder. Quick snap holder can use a telescopic type of arm similar to your oldschool tv antennas. Don't know if it is cost effective to make, but it is surely simple.

Remember, always "Continuously Improve." Take some criticism from people because they are potential buyers. ~~~ WInk wink~

Thats a neat cat, xanaxed out or not!! :grin-square: And I think the cue holder is a good idea when its cushioned ESPECIALLY if it fits in a pocket easily. I got a few laying around here that either aren't stable enough  for me to be comfortable leaving a cue against them or too big to go in a pocket or have metal edges I wouldn't PUT IN a pocket .... lol
