The only tips now made that I know of with a red pad pre-glued onto them are Triumph tips made by Tweeten. They are a tan colored tip and, although Tweeten's most expensive tip, they cost quite a bit less than 1.50 each.

you want to sell 3 of 'em? i'll give you $2 a tip plus shipping.

i only bought 3 because it was the last 3 he had....he used to use them and bought a dozen while at schon....he has been using layered tips for the last few years and still had 3 schon tips left...so i got all 3...they are all mine , you cant have :p

im not sure if the pad is the same as others...it seems very hard and kindof plastic like.

i put one on my Joss....and now my Joss shaft hits(sounds...feels) Just like Schon shaft when striking a ball....all thou the shaft plays slightly different due to diameter and taper....i havent tried yet but i bet if i put the joss shaft on the schon butt id really have to focus on the differences to notice any.

i guess you can come to the conclusion that that schon hit(sound) almost 90 percent of the equation is in the tip...ive tried tips that were simular in sound but never the same.

but i did achieve exactly what i wanted.....wich is a Backup cue/shaft that plays almost the same as the schon....without the schon price tag
the cue is very fancy as far as joss goes...i emaild Danny Janes and he said the work order for the cue was for $825 ....but the cue has a flaw in one of the points so i picked it up for $270 or so off ebay...i actually like the joss a little better sometimes...its a ounce or so lighter at around 18...
im not sure but the schon is might be close to 20....but the balance is the same so its not that noticable.
