Got my new Whitten 2x4 in today, and i can officially say he does great work! I got the black on black lizard design case. The leather is of great quality, and the case just looks sharp all around.

The shoulder strap is the most comfortable ive ever felt, and the ergonomics are very well designed as far as the position of the strap.

I would recommend his cases to anyone interested, and have heard from several people his cases are the best on the market! ;)

I've owned many over the years. Not one single problem with any of them. You can inspect them in detail...and not find a loose stitch. My current one is a 3x4 tan with orange lizard. I've turned down numerous offers for it. Best made case available in my opinion. Dan does fantstic work. You should of got the new handle he offers on top...very nice & handy.
 
I have one almost exactly like that, the craftsmanship is definitely top notch. Awesome case man.
 
Love the Whitten cases with glove quality leather. My 2X4 has the super-duper loooong pocket for access to lotsa stufff.:D

I actually purchased a slightly used one from a user on here. It is in new condition though, only kept inside for less than a month.

Id assume the lead time is not very long, and he also has several ready to ship cases on his website if you check the now available section.

I think I recall the case that was being offered by TNcountryboy in the FS/Wanted forum. Looked brand new and a heckuva deal too! Hope it's a lucky one Paul.......:D

Pictures of the new handle can be seen at Dan's website. I've checked it out in person too...my next one will have it for sure. Very handy when just standing there with the case beside you instead of on your shoulder. For you Whitten newbies...I'll let you in on a little secret...the 3x4 lays on your back much better due to its flatness...the 2x4 is a bit oval and it tends to slide a bit as you carry it. 3x4 = most comfortable.
