Got Rack

The local pool hall (Hawaiian Brians) has very worn out, wooden, probably 15+ yrs. ball racks(Spinali's) and I was wondering what else was out there before d13, Diamond (Club Racks) and all the others out there now. I got lucky with a rack purchased with my super pro ball set. It is similar to the Spinali but a more basic construction. Utilizing the proper apex I can get a tight rack. However I have not seen anything close to it on any search's via the web. If any one knows of brands used in the past(perhaps such as Spinali), again before modern advances, I am curious to know. What was the preference back in the day for a good tight rack.

Mahalo for your time and input. Carl

Back in the day the wood racks were the best. Nowadays the delta 13 is popular, but expensive. Also the sardo, but again expensive. I dont like the template racks either, well maybe for 10 ball. For my money I like Dons Rack. Best rack I ever used, for under 30 bucks.

Velvet touch has Dons rack and I have used it many times and I do like it. Definitely a tight rack for a plastic rack. The reason I am asking is the wooden rack I have now I can't seem to find out who manufactured it. Also I am unable to find any spinali's. Do they still make spinali racks or anything comparable.
