I had been working on my T.I.P.S. kick shots for about an hour and a half. I put out a few balls to double check my T.O.I. alignments in light of my new calibrations. I heard a voice behind me. "Sir, you know you ain't gonna be able to aim very well if you keep rockin your tip back and forth while you're trying to aim." LOL. :D Well bless his ball-banging heart.

I thanked him for his suggestion and explained I was working on an unusual aiming system that I did not believe he had heard of. I rifled in a few shots just so he would go away.

I went to work on T.I.P.S. banking. I can nail any bank I try with T.O.I. but T.I.P.S still gives me trouble. I will give a month or two. This is only my second time at the pool hall since I got the DVD. I am just getting started.

learn the TIP System there's no safety, kick or bank you can't make

As your contact with the cue ball gets better and better so will your banking, kicking and safety play. The key is controlling the hit on the cue ball, no matter what system you choose to use {or don't use}. TIPS accelerates this "learning curve" with the various drills and tip calibration technique.

It only takes about 3 solid hours to really make a difference in these aspects of your game. The TIP System coordinates your cue ball tip target to the angles of the diamonds.....many players don't even know this relationship exists and it's a HUGE advantage.

Buddy Hall showed a version of this type system with his infamous "Clock System" which is highly effective as well. The key is developing a relationship between where you cue the ball and the reaction it gives the object ball.

Once you learn the TIP System there's no safety, kick or bank you can't make. Some of them you would never have even seen before, this opens up a whole new dimension to banking and safety play for many pool players. The "Road Players" have known this stuff all along, that's why they were so difficult to beat....they had the knowledge.

My precision of contact with the cueball has gone through the roof and it is still going. I know the "Clock System" very well. I learned it from Buddy at his house. My safeties and kicks are already far above average. I learned how to do that at Grady Mathews house. One day soon, I hope to be paying a visit to your house. :D

TOI is the foundation that ties it all together.

Keep doing the Drill I recommend in the TIP Banking Video

That's GREAT news. The common denominator of all my teachings is contacting the cue ball with precision. TOI really drives this home and many people have commented that it's the main reason it works (because you pay more attention to your cue ball / tip targeting).....this of course isn't the "only" reason it works, however, without consistently precise contact with the cue ball NO SYSTEM CAN BE EFFECTIVE....even TOI.

Keep doing the Drill I recommend in the TIP Banking Video and you will see some awesome results in your overall game. TIPS isn't just about banking, this system can be used with great results in safety and kicking.....as well as ball pocketing. The way I show how to pivot is especially valuable, make sure not to rush through that chapter.

Play Well, 'The Game is the Teacher'
