Mandalay is a perfect place for the US Open 9-ball. Let's not forget that Matchroom has already had a good experience there with the Mosconi Cup.

The profile of this event (and the prize fund too) is on the rise and it belongs at a premier Las Vegas hotel like Mandalay Bay. It should not be Matchroom's objective to minimize participation costs, and as we have seen, there is great demand to play in this event despite expenses some view as higher than they might be.

This event will remain at Mandalay Bay for the foreseeable future.

What's your problem? The US Open is FULL with a waiting list.

There are no problems with the dates, how hard is that to understand?

The SBE is mainly an amateur event and the only top 20 guy probably going is Aranas, hell, probably the only top 100 guy.

The problem is the effect on the SBE event. Here are the top 16 finishers there for the last hree years. I don't see too many amateurs.
