Grady's Tournament Update

I didn't see anyone update Grady's tournament, so here you go. The 9-ball tournament ended Last night with Brian White playing great to beat Josh Roberts in the finals 11-1. Andy (Can't spell his last name) came in third.

One pocket is down to Sparky and Scott Rabon in the winner's side finals.

Bank Pool has four people left on the winner's side. Sparky plays Jeff Abernathy, and I have such a bad memory that I don't know who the other players are.

Sparky let me buy him into all three tournaments for half of his winnings, so I guess I am really just sweating his matches:D

I will keep you posted as I hear any updates.

Update from Grady's

Andy's last name is Friedhofen, Eric. Can't imagine why you had a problem with that. :-)
In One Pocket, Larry Nevel will play Josh Roberts on the one loss side.
In Banks, we have Cal Calloway play Jerry Shelley and the loser of that goes over to play Grady. Others on the left side are Mike Davis playing Larry Nevel, Josh Roberts vs Wade Crane and Scott Rabon vs Kevin Brown. As you mentioned, Jeff Abernathy will play Sparky (does Sparky have a last name?) and the Shelley-Calloway winner will take on Ronny Park.
Hope I didn't miss anything but no guarantees.

I'm not sure where Roy finished in the nine ball, but that's the only event he played in. I won three matches and lost two in the nine ball. I went two and out in the one pocket tournament (no surprise there). And I won just one match in the banks.

I think Roy made a couple dollars gambling, but not sure how much. Right now we are just pulling for Sparky to get us some cash.

Banks

Calloway over Shelley and will be playing Park.
On the one loss side:
Rabon over Brown
Grady over Shelley
Nevel over Davis
Roberts over Crane (They went hill-hill.)
So now, Grady is scheduled to play Larry Nevel and Josh Roberts will play Scott Rabon.

Hey, Eric....

Matt says you won $100 in the One Pocket calcutta. Roberts came in 4th place. He also says thanks because his horse beat yours. Hurry and collect before I make a run to Walmart.

Joey I didn't do very well in the 9-ball. I work nights and I didn't do too well adjusting my sleeping schedule. I had to keep going out to my car and getting a 1 or 2 hour nap. My first was match was against Jeff Abernathy and I couldn't get anything going against him and Jeff played very well. I won 1 match on the losers side against an unknown player. I drew Scott Rabon in my next match and ended up losing 9-1! I won the very first game and that was it for me. I had a chance to go up 2-1 on him but missed a shot on the 8 where I had to jack up. So Scott won that game and proceeded to snap in two 9's in a row on me. Then he started running some racks, got to the hill, and snapped another 9 ball in on me on the break.

I had a pretty good time sweating matches and listening to all of the woofing that was going on. Last night there were some guys barking back and forth for over an hour and Sparky comes out of nowhere and tells this guy that he can have the breaks, the wild 6, and the last 3 on a 9-footer for a $100 a game. And the guy could shoot pretty good! The guy and his friends had no heart whatsoever. They were on the phone trying to get a line on Sparky and changed the bet from $100 to $50 a game right before they started. Sparky won the first 2 games and the guy pulled up. I couldn't believe it.

All right! Thanks for the update. I have done the nap thing at many a tournament and know what you mean. I guess you will have to leave off the old men jokes after your post about napping. :D

And in Banks....

Larry Nevel came through the one loss side to take the Banks tournament over Sparky.
It's been a long but fun weekend. Tired. That's all folks.
