Grateful dead cue

Okay, I know its not worth anything but I got given a grateful dead 2 piece pool cue with the bears on it in different colors. A friend knows I play pool and got this at an auction for a $1.00. It has 1997 on it so its apparently about 12 years old.

Tell me, is it ready for the brush pile?

I never cared much for their music but I like their merchandise. Used to have a dead t-shirt with a skeleton playing a violin.
