There are some great pics and a great write up from the IPT UK press conference here:

Couple of observations...

IPT balls look very good

"Ronnie O'Sullivan showed some beautiful skill shots while he ran out two racks against Gerda Hofstatter, playing left handed occasionally too."

"Ronnie played two exhibition quality racks not missing a shot and generally looked hot and pretty unbeatable at the table. "

Live IPT pool all over Europe! This has to be great for the game.

Good job IPT.

Thanks, great link. Personally I don't think that much of the IPT balls (at least the prototypes shown, perhaps the design will be improved a bit for the final versions) as they look to me too much like poor imitation Centennials. I'm not that keen on the font they've used for the IPT logo cue ball. However it will also be a question of the retail cost and what level of tolerances they have defined that will determine their success in the open market.

*Some* very fussy people will be happy that the numbers are in the colored areas of the striped balls instead of the white areas as they are on Centennials.

Thanks for the article and the pictures Shane. This sounds like a huge TV deal for the IPT, it will basically provide live coverage to the entire continent of Europe. It was nice seeing the players that could make it showing up from around Europe for the press conference, including AZ'er Pat Holtz.

Thanks Shane for the great link. I wonder who they are referring to in this sentence:

Pat showed why he is such good value to his sponsors by turning up smartly dressed after making the trip from Scotland simply to show support for the IPT. He's definately a professional through and through, his professional demeanor and dedication shine though, unlike one of the other player's, who lives locally and who turned up half way through Kevin Trudeau's opening speech.

Could it be Ronnie O', who showed up in jeans?!

It was definitely Ronnie O', in the pictures you can clearly see Ronnie wearing blue jeans, I was unable to find a picture of Raj wearing blue jeans, the lighting made it too difficult to see. Perhaps Big Dave can fill us in?

I attended the event in london on wednesday, and in my opinion it would have been raj that was late on arrival,as ronnie was on time.(had a bit laugh meself at ronnies dress code though, looked like he just fell out of bed lol)
