I could not remember where in the book, Unhittable I read it but this is from a internet search.

Unhittable by Rob Friedman explains that keeping the head steady and focusing on a tiny target are essential for improving pitch accuracy and mechanics, according to expert coaches.

Maintaining a stable head enables consistent delivery, while narrowing the focus to a precise spot helps pitchers improve their command.

Frank McGowan always told me when I'd ask him questions about a shotgun pool , a steady / firm base is first and foremost to make any shot all the way down to your bridge hand .

So yes that makes, perfect sense to me .
