Great shot by Earl

I learned Q Ball control from Danny Basavitch's and Buddy Hall's clock systems, but understanding what Earl is doing in this shot is making me rethink things. Going to try putting a lot less juice on the ball & check the results. Always cool to learn something new !

Exactly. It's not really that hard. Any low b player can do that shot.

wow.

i guess the standard of today's pool players must've really elevated if low level b players are doing that on a 10 foot diamond.

LMAO..... yeah... I see those shots made all the time  Jeez, it was a good shot, the required a great stroke... not many "b" players have that kind of stroke....

The one thing that really impressed me with that Earl-Miz match was the tremendous crowd enthusiasm- you don't see that these days

oh really? so,apparently drawing your your cue ball the length of a Diamond 10 footer is the norm in your area huh?

If you can do it on a 9', you can do it on a 10'. The speed needed to get the CB to move is practically the same.

Like others have already said, it's a cool looking shot, but not difficult for someone that's been playing awhile. Could an APA 4 do it? Probably not. The only thing that might of made the shot more difficult is if the cloth wasn't brand new.

The other Earl shots that have been posted in this thread are much more difficult.

ahh the 80's! When snooker ruled on tv as well.
I'm fairly new to American pool and love watching old skool clips.
Love the atmosphere and characters (and of course the random designs of tables/cloth).
