I'd agree that many players understand that they have to read the flyers very carefully, but there are still many who either do not understand greens fees or that added money might depend on the number of players, or that taxes might have to be withheld, or....pooltchr said:
At the last event I organized, some of the players were absolutely flabbergasted that when it said $XXX added it actually meant that the prize fund consisted of the added money plus all the entry fees without any money held back. It is what the flyer said, but it was not what the players expected.
