What years played is your book based on? I played mostly barbox pool from the mid 70's through the 80's. I played a lot of pool in Al, MS, TN, TX, GA and LA.
60s thru present day
You will know many players in this book, mostly based on Gulf Coast, New Orleans area. chances are we know each other, anyway thanks for your interest !

Great read. Nice little vignettes on an interesting bunch of players who fly under the radar.
Cell phones ruin pool
We all used to operate under the radar but cell phones have ruined that part of pool. The locals take your picture, put it on the Internet and know your true speed in a few minutes. The great days of the "road warriors" are over and pool as we have known it the past 100 years is officially over I'm sad to say.

Just finished the book and will be reading it again. Not only worth readin, worth reading more than once!

A- you are lucky to be alive. More than once.
B. I knew that Eugene Browning was lying when he told me he just started playing pool and I should up the bet. I still have that $50!
