In the quarter-finals, Dick Jaspers and Semih Sayginer put on a performance for the ages.
Jaspers: 1 - 3 - 8 - 0 - 1 - 12 = 25 in 6 = 4.167 avg.
Sayginer: 6 - 7 - 12 - 4 - 9 - 2 ,= 40 in 6 = 6.667 avg.
Sayginer's first point in his run of 12 was a fluke but some of the other 11 billiards were extremely difficult shots.
His six inning game breaks the World Cup record of seven innings set last year by Frederic Caudron.
The semi-final match between Caudron and Horn was a tale of two games. Caudron was leading 25-10 after eight innings
but shockingly scored only four billiards in his next 15 innings. Horn finished very strongly and won the match 40-34.
The finals between Horn and Cho had a remarkable final three innings.Horn got to 40 with Cho at 36 but Cho had a chance to tie
the match with the equal inning rule in effect. He made his first three points but missed the fourth, a bank shot, giving Horn a 40-39 victory.
This was Horn's second World Cup win, the first coming nine years ago.
