Was actually considering going to the 1pocket but they are *impossible* to get timely info from so I decided on another event.

Nothing online and you call and get know-nothing bartenders who know zippo and no return calls from the manager.

I think Vegas wears out even the toughest pros after 10-or-something days of PBS.

Where do pros usually stay when they are in Vegas? If they are paying for hotels then 3 weeks of that adds up.

prize money is weak, the importance and prestige of the events have diminished, etc. still usually fun to watch the one pocket

Well, the Sahara was saying I could stay on for $59/night including the $56 resort fee, so it might not be so bad after the tournament people are gone.
