Thank you, it would be great if there were something up-to-date. Does this suggest that pivot point is particular to the shaft used, so the same shaft with different handles would have the same pivot point? That would simplify a collection of more data.
That is correct. The natural pivot point of a cue (and the amount of CB deflection or squirt the cue creates) depends only on the endmass of the shaft (the distribution of mass in the 5-8 inches closest to the tip). For an exanation (and proof), see the supporting resources at:

Good question and great food for thought (and practice) here.
Have spent the last 8 months trying to develop a consistent stroke, have worked through several things and now seems to be down to a consistent, repeatable grip. Thanks for the insights.
