The purpose of creating this tour is 2 fold, we want to create a tour to encourage our junior players to participate more, and at the same time provide something for the lower handicap players who are always there to support events, but very seldom reach the money.

As you all know there are many handicap lists, and JACCS is trying to come up with a fair assessment by combining all of them. We are trying to create an event where all participants have an EQUAL opportunity to win if they perform to their level of play.

This is YOUR TOUR, so we are calling on you to help us get this right. If you have any information regarding the CPA, VNEA, TAP, BCA or other major tournament handicap lists, we would appreciate getting copies.

We have also created a JACCS facebook page, please join us in our quest to further cue sports at ALL levels of play.

Sincerely
Grace Nakamura-Babcock

8 ball and 9 ball are two completely different games, while one may struggle at one they may excel at the other.

How do you feel the BCA vs CPA vs VNEA stats would stand up to each other? It seems the majority of the 8s, 9s, 10s in BCA are all CPA 7s but at the same time, the CPA 7s include players like Rob Brandenburg, Chris Peg, Mike Patro and even crappy players like myself. In my eyes, it would have to be on a case by case situation based on previous tournament events. I know for sure, 100% that if people that are a 5 in the 404 is the max entry that you will get more players who might play in the CPA or TAP who arent 5s or 6s or 7s show up, especially if the tournaments are run very professionally and are fun.

In my eyes, there are 5s, 6s and 7s that I dont really have a chance to beat playing during the 404. Ive also never seen about 95% of those players play a single game of 8 ball.

I asked in the previous thread, who is the tournament director? Will each room have their own? Will it be you Grace?

Hi Dan thank you for your input, as stated earlier we will consider all suggestions. The tournament director Tom Cacic. As for eligibility, you see our problem, we will do our best to keep out those who "MISREPRESENT" themselves, and will have severe consequences in place for those who do. As stated earlier, "MISREPRESENTATION OF ANY SORT WILL BE MET WITH IMMEDIATE EXPULSION FROM THE EVENT AND ALL MONIES WILL BE FORFEITED". Our plan is to bring back the FUN factor and provide you with a tour that encourages people to improve their game!

Thanks again for your input.

Grace,

I was just curious about what you are going to do with the "unknown" amatures that show up. Myself and a few others are going to try and make it to at least the Kitchener/Waterloo events but the only thing we have ever played in that gave you a rank was our local VNEA league.

I am an 8 in our league here but that doesn't necessarily transfer to an 8 somewhere else. Most of us have also played in the provincial tournament that used to be held in Hamilton (now in London) as silver or bronze players.

Hi Shorty,

Thank you for your inquiry, please submit the actual names of the people who are intending to play, as we have several handicap lists that we are studying. Do you know Elio or Padahsung as I trust their judgement. In a lot of cases we are depending on the honesty of other players to help us make sure that those who are unknown to us are in fact eligible.

By the sounds of things if you were silver or bronze in the VNEA championships, you are probably eligible, but we cannot confirm until we know who you are.

Regards,
Grace

Well my name is Marty Gallaway, you should find me on a couple of the lists you have. Elio and Pod both know me and how I play so you can get a good gauge from them. I will get you the other players names when I know who will be joining me.

Thanks for the reply.
