Marge is having some problems getting online so I'll be posting the updates.

The Great Southern Billiard Tour has come to the Marietta Billiard Club for Kim and Johnny's 9 Ball Open. The tournament drew a nice field of 56 players. Notables amongst those are: Johnny Archer, Kim Davenport, Shannon Daulton, Larry Nevel, Stevie Moore, Tommy Kennedy, John Hennessee, Louis Ulrich, Mark Gregory, and Paul Song. WPBA players Monica Webb and Helena Thornfeldt are also in attendance. Marquee matchups so far were Kim Davenport defeating Helena Thornfeldt 9-6 in the first round, and in the 2nd round TK from FLA was upset by Victor Bagley 9-5. Other matchups currently going are: Stevie Moore and Louis Ulrich, Johnny Archer vs. Mark Gregory, JR Rossman vs. John Hennessee and Clint McCullough vs. Larry Nevel.

I'll try to keep the updates coming, but its slow going on this iPhone. Forgive the spelling as well...

Yours truly lost his first round match to Hennessee, so time to go to work on the left side.

wow Johnny got fired up to beat Latty 9-0, Larry knocked him out of the last 2 tournments or sent him to the losers side, either way Johnny got a piece back. I like Larry he is a great guy-I wish I knew him better we had some great laughs at the Derby.

One other thing, I never bullshit, I did promise to add $$ to this tournment and I didnt, I said I would here on AZ 6 or 8 weeks ago, but my business has taken such a bad hit I just cant right now. When I say I'm gonna do something I usually do like 98% of the time, but I just right now couldnt my income is down 75% right now-i'm heavy on assetts but low on cash. I didnt want to hope people forgot my commitment I will make it up down the road, I appologise to Johnny and Kim(I know Kim since 85). I'm embarassed abouit this and will make it up to them an keep my word.

Hey Dagz-Thanks for the posts. Nice to at least know whats going on. Great job, and how'd you do in 2nd chance? Thanks, Matt ps were any of the guys we talked about there?

Another quick one...

Shannon Daulton def. Larry Nevel 9-6
Johnny Archer def Kim Davenport 9-6

Can't say that I saw any of the people we were talking about a few days ago Matt. Eric, I'll pass your message along. No second chance was run, unfortunately.

Next match is Kim Davenport vs Shannon Daulton

When Archer and Hennessee start up again I'll post more updates.

My thread now! *evil overlord laugh* :D

Daulton is up 3-1 over Davenport, winner plays Archer in the finals.

Eh I just got here. Dagz is sitting chatting with the TD so I'm filling in.

Daulton up 4-1. Kim is really struggling - getting safed and nearly pulling it out. Barely missed an amazing shot into the corner of the side to kick at a ball in the corner - everyone went 'ahhhh!'

Though as I type this, Kim made it 4-2 by missing an easy 1-9 combo, slopping the 1 into a pocket, and running out anyhow.

Kim broke, left himself easy on the 1, shanked it - very unhappy.

Daulton runs to the five (which was pretty hooked, played a nice shot to break it out), misses it in the side - leaves Kim an easy out. 4-3.

Meh on these match markers! Very tough to see from any distance. It's actually 4-4.

Daulton plays a nice safe on Kim, who gets the hit but leaves Daulton an easy out- 5-4 Daulton.
