You sure it's a Kers? Does it have his logo...Here is a pic of the big deep hole pin of my 87 SW... There are a lot of cues out there that look like they may be a Kersenbrock but they're actually SW's... If it is a Kers congrats on a very nice pick up...
Doesn't anybody read the whole thread anymore? Lol.. He gave the answer already.. He said Kers.... I posted a pic of an exact pin from an 87' SW and wanted to know how he knew it was a Kersenbrock because MANY cues you may think are Kers are actually SW. Laurie at SW will know.. Is there any identifying marks, logos or a loa?
The big hole at the end of the pin does not mean Kersenbrock as many people seem to think. Al Lawrence explained in a TAR video interview (that was pulled after a couple of days) that in the early days pins were made by two methods: some were die- cut and some were machined on a lathe. The machined pins had the large hole so that one end could be held by a live center. South West used both types of pins and eventually went exclusively to die-cut pins. I'm not sure if Kersenbrock used both types of pins.
