Hi Folks,

Just picked up a new Q.
I thought I would share a few impressions with the connoisseurs. The pictures are really bad, but I am travelling right now and have no camera on hand. I will try and get some better pictures later.

Now: Before you want to guess the maker, please have a look at the splice work. Have a guess, what splice it is. I have not found something like this here on AZ before.

As I said - crappy pictures made in my hotel room.

Will be back with better pictures from the pool room ( most likely Space Billiards NYC) later tonight.

Gerhard

Better pictures in second post below!

Joint, butt cap, inlays, rings - all ivory

I think it may be pfd from the logo on the buttcap!

Drexler

That has Drexler written all over it, he's one of the few cuemakers that can get Davis to build a double spliced cue and he's always pushing boundaries with his cues.

Pheeew!
That was way to fast! You guys know Paul's cues to well.
Next time, I must cover the buttcaps as well.

I bought the blank directly from John Davis some time ago. That was, when I picked up a cue, that he finished all by himself. At that time, John said that he will never make a double full splice blank again. To complicated. He suggested Paul as cuemaker, so I took his advice.

It was the last double-fullsplice that he had in stock from past experiments. When he showed it to me, I simply couldn't resist

Paul did a great Job. I had a basic design in mind but he made it look good. He leveled out all gaps and inlays in the butt and made 2 old growth shafts for it. Ivory ferruls and Kamui tips.

As Paul said - It plays like a cue. :D

Will be in Amsterdams tomorrow to Play a bit more.
