Yeah the funny thing is the commentators are like "Why didn't he go 3 rails or just come back to the middle of the table"(on that 4 ball). Oh and he already used up all his 3 extentions by that last 8 ball, and the 1 commentator is like "Why doesn't he use his extention I would, he has 2 left". What a bunch of idiots!!!

As far as the shot clock goes, while it is indeed short, you have to remember that these matches are broadcast live over here in Asia, and that a couple of hill-hill (or close to it) matches can easily push the the schedule into overtime (sometimes by an hour)- the networks don't like that sort of thing as it screws up their timing when other live sports are set to be broadcast afterwards (I believe that four hours or so has already been alloted for today's matches- it's tough to ask for more).
I think one extension per game per player would be fair enough- three per match isn't enough if it goes the distance.

I agree, ESPN Star commentary absolutely sucks and all of those guys should be fired!
Both of those guys are a bit over-critical when you know they can't make a ball between them...
But then again, ESPN Star Asia seems to be the refuge of British and American sports commentators who couldn't make it in their respective home countries..... The general standard for English language programming is pretty crap in Asia IMO...
