This is supposed to be covered LIVE via STAR SPORTS in TVU and SOPCAST starting this morning, US est. However, my computer cannot connect to both. Am I the only one having this problem?

The Philippines is represented by Alcano, Lee Van Corteza, Roberto Gomez and Jeffrey de Luna. There have been quite a few upsets so far with Alcano losing his first game and Wu and CS Yang also losing theirs to Indonesian players. The players were divided into eight groups with 3 players each. Top player in each group after the elimination phase will advance.

Update

Roberto Gomez has won over CS Yang 9 to 2. Is anybody watching live via TVU and SOPCAST (Star Sports channel)?

It's Amir vs. Chao, Chao leading 4 games to 1. TVU is working just fine for me.
What channel is it at SopCast?

Yes, he lost his first game to an unknown Indonesian name William Ipaenen. Those are the breaks of the game. :(

Tvu

I just finished watching the Chao/Amir match on Star Sorts. Good coverage. It's too bad we can't get this kind of coverage of the tours in the USA.

Alcano and De luna out for the Filipinos but Roberto Gomez and Lee Van Corteza are still in. WU and CS Yang are also out but Chao is still in the last 8.

Do not forget to watch the quarterfinals LIVE via Star Sports TVU or SOPCAST starting at 1 am tomorrow morning up to 7 am, US eastern time. That is at least 6 hours of live pool. It is a pity that we cannot view the matches for the World Summit or other tournaments held here in the USA live too.

The match-up between FONG PANG CHAO and LEE VAN CORTEZA is going to be live at the tv table at 5:30 am tomorrow morning. This should be the highlight of the quarterfinals.

possibly, corteza is going to face another taiwanese if he passes through chao :D

The Lee Vann Corteza/ Fong Pang Chao match is about to start!

I'm right here in the US and I couldn't even get a glimpse of the World Summit
of Pool matches, while halfway around the globe, I'm savoring the matches via
the internet. That speaks volumes about pool in the US... :(

exciting match between Corteza and Chao here. I thought that Chao will pull ahead when he was leading at 4 to 1 but now it is a much closer game at 4 to 3 still in Chao's favor.

Excellent coverage.

6 to 4 now for Chao but Corteza is on the table.

Who else is watching it live via TVU? Sure wish the tournaments held here in the US are shown live too.

6 - 5 now Chao. Corteza was down 6 to 3 earlier. This is a race to 9, alternate break format.

It is Corteza breaking next hoping to even the score.

Chao is now on the hill, 8-5 while shooting at a pretty open table.
It's all over but the shouting if you ask me...
