A few to sell, and a new idea for use
I have uncut or modified 18mm X 13 inch cut gundrills with a 25mm shank for $65 each shipped by priority mail to USA lower 48. I also have some machined: cut some of long shank off, remachined shank to 3/4 or 1/2 inch size(your choice) and machined for a rear inlet air fitting. Those are $82 each shipped by priority mail. $3 more with a standard "D" industrial air fitting installed. That is the air fitting most auto mechanics use on impact wrenches.
I can also machine a side tap air fitting for $5 more, if you have a deluxe lathe and wish to use in the tailstock drill chuck and my 1/2 inch shank gundrill from above.
I was told Chris Hightower had an idea for using a gun drill with his Deluxe for those that do not want to make the carriage mount holder. Just move the tailstock between the carriage and the headstock. Then Mount the gundrill in the drill chuck and use the carriage to push the tailstock mounted drill into the work. Just make sure to take all slop out of the lockdown nuts, and lock the top knob of the tailstock lever. You will need a 1/2 inch shank gundrill with a side mounted air inlet for this configuration to work properly.
Very clever Chris ! And your lathe is superb, it may be copied, but you are the man in this size cue lathe, hands down! Thank you for your many contributions to cuemaking Chris!
We have many ways to get each cuemaking task done, take your pick !
