There are several boring bars near where I live, but they do get a bit of action on the weekends… oh wait, wrong type of bars I guess…Looking for boring bars. For 5/8 & 3/4 cores. Where to buy?
Imagine a world where the topic is Boring Bars,,,,,, people respond to it, yep, about boring bars,,,,,,,,, and then the poster realizes oops, there is a difference between boring bars and gun drills,,,,,,,,,,, and edits the post topic to now seem to discuss gun drills and hang the helpful responders to his original question out to dry.to the other posters that aparently did not read the title/question..... Gundrills ARE NOT BORING BARS! That being said, Sterling Drills in VT are the people to contact. They Are VERY familiar with cuemaker needs. You just need to know what size you really need. If you want a 3/4 tenon sticking out of the end for the butt sleeve/ringwork/butt cap etc. you should go a bit larger than .750 and build a larger core so that you can machine it down to .750 for those final pieces.
I read the Title first, then skip-read his post.Imagine a world where the topic is Boring Bars,,,,,, people respond to it, yep, about boring bars,,,,,,,,, and then the poster realizes oops, there is a difference between boring bars and gun drills,,,,,,,,,,, and edits the post topic to now seem to discuss gun drills and hang the helpful responders to his original question out to dry.
