Guns and Cues, Show us your Piece

This is my daily carry. Springfield Armory XDM 40 Competition with a 5.25" barrel. I like it a lot and it stays by my side at all times.

To keep this billiard related I placed some Magic Chalk in the pic:thumbup:

Pool players chalk up before each shot. With Magic Chalk, you only have to chalk up once a clip.

.50 cal desert eagle gold Tiger stripes

Well this is my favorite gun I own. There are many more that I got that are more practical and serve more purpose. This gun is really heavy and shooting only 6 shots isn't very practical but it does make huge holes in whatever it hits.
I got to many cues to have a favorite.

Here's my nice Pelican case which is perfect for an AR-15.

Just Like Pool Cues, I Tend To Go Overboard.......

Alright.......here's what I got and here's the best part, my carry permit is now good in 40 states........I'm getting a non-resident Nevada permit so I'm legal to carry anywhere on the entire western seaboard.......main carry is the P-12 Para Ordinance .(45 cal. -12 rd mag) or the Beretta F-92 (15 rd mag) or the S&W Air-Lite (.38+P 5 rds).

.45 cal is my favorite self-defense caliber.......place 2 rounds center mass and it will stop your assailant easily unless he's wearing body armor in which case as he draws close, you put a round in his face. My handguns are a S&W 29 - 44 Magnum 6.5" / S & W 27 - .357 Magnum 5" / Para Ordinance aluminum frame P12 - 45 cal / Beretta 92FS 9mm 15 rds / S& W 39 (1st double action pistol made) 9mm 8 rds / S & W AirLite 38+P cal - 5rds / Ruger .22 cal Target Pistol.

The single action guns are a Great Western Arms (357 magnum) and the masterpiece is the Uberti 45 cal with custom Elkhorn grips.....what a glorious gun. The leather rigs were custom made in Texas for my single action guns & my original "Dirty Harry" 44 Magnum with 6.5" barrel. There's also another another cross draw holster for my S&W 357 magnum. I went with a cross draw design because it was easier to wear as a back-up gun when I hunted and drove or rode.

After having said all of this....and shown you what I own......and confessed to possessing a legal CCW in 40 states and fellows, I am never without a piece on my person or within reach.......I am in favor or more strict gun control laws......the whole enchilada.......mother government is never going to come confiscate our guns.....lose that crazy notion.......guns are way too easy to acquire and gosh, every single buyer of any gun above .177 caliber needs to undergo a strict background check.....even bulk ammo purchases need to be checked.

And I am a righteous minded gun owner but I am also sane....stricter gun control measures are needed now.

I'm coming to the conclusion that I am out gunned.

So far my favorites are Worldpro's Desert eagle 50 cal in camo, and Billiardsfan's S and W 500.

You're like the PalmerCollector of weaponry!

Come on Mr. Wilson, Jerry and Mike - don't dare move this thread and show us your pieces!

It looks that way, especially if you ever had a jam.......but we both own S&W Model 39's.

It was the very first double action pistol ever made in the USA.......subsequently followed up
with S&W's Model 59 that had a double stack mag whereas the 39 used a single stack mag.

I also own an original David Boye knife signed 1978 and it was when he first created his radical
design knife. It's a stunning knife and I just was told by Francince's Etched Knives that it's a rare
and collectible and she couldn't estimate how much it was worth at auction. I insured the watch
for $100 when I shipped it to her and she insured it for a $1,000 when she returned the watch and
told me it probably was under insured.......Go figure.......I got it at the SF Gun Show back in 1978
where I also purchased my 44 magnum.

If one likes gun and likes to shoot them as long as they can afford it get them. You never really lose money on a gun unless you were some kind of sucker when you bought it. They have to be one of the easiest things to turn into cash if the needs arises.
They are a classic example of "Having your cake and eating it to".
Guys who like guns are almost always in the market for another gun and if it is a good deal they will buy. Before you know it you have quite a few and possibly a fairly valuable collection. It's not like spending money, you are just putting it a different place.

Mine actually is the 59, they look alike. Because of the capacity they are now illegal in CA - just read that.

Guns are bad, do you even realize how many guns have killed people??

Knives are much safer, they don't kill as many people......

PS - That's not technically a "derringer" Jay, its a mini revolver. Specifically a North American Arms .22LR :)

Your 59 is only illegal in CA if you are not the original owner or the gun wasn't transferred to you from a parent or grandparent.
Otherwise, if you're the 2nd owner, you lose the grandfather provison for carrying the gun. My Beretta is grandfathered because
I owned it before the Brady Bill was enacted which California used as a model after the Brady Bill reached its 10 year sunset date.

My Para Ordinace is the same situation......it holds twelve (12) 45 ACP in the mag & one in the snout for 13 rds total and is legal.
The Beretta holds 15 rds in the mag & can have one in the snout for a total of 16 rds....and it's completely legal for me to own and
carry since I am the original owner. I probably have a dozen 15 rd mags for the Beretta and 20 or so 12 rd mags for the Para Ord
all of which are legal since I bought them prior to enactment of the Brady law and these mags are all grandfathered as well for me
or any of my children who inherit my weapons......they enjoy all the same grandfather provisions I now have.......and if they have kids,
this legal exemption continues ad infinitem and so it passes on to their children and so on etc.......that's what makes these two guns
so rare to own......hi capacity guns totally legal in CA.

Since state & federal laws are only be enacted on a defacto basis and not retroactively applied, the exemption on my guns is forever.

It's good to know guns retain their value. In California there are many restrictions - don't know how the resale market is.

I got into guns when Dirty Harry came out. I was 18, hair down to my shoulders, rode around on a Kawasaki Mach III and rushed right down to the store and bought a 44 magnum. When I went to the police station to register it, the police thought I was crazy for buying this cannon. I guess in California at the time 18 was legal age. So the first real handgun I shot was a 44 mag using 44 specials (they wouldn't let us fire 44 mags in the indoor range).

I've always liked guns, but handguns never really did much for me. I've never carried a weapon (except during the LA riots when I had to work in the riot zone by USC).

What I really like is very accurate, tack driving rifles with hi power scopes. I have a couple that I would never sell. The one below is actually my wife's. It's the most accurate rifle we have and I love shooting it. It's a Sako Deluxe with a 6 X 20 Leupold Scope. The caliber is .223 Remington and with match grade ammo on a benchrest I can shoot the staples out of the target at 100 yards.

It's old school. At the range it gets a lot of attention.

i like you jay but i think you may be full of BS, 3" bull at 30 ft with a darrenger,i might have to see that in person....

When I bought them they were legal. If the feds wanted them I would give them up with a smile. Although that's very doubtful. I think they may have bigger fish to fry. No big deal either way. ALL my guns are registered to me by the way, completely legal!

Ok fellas, turn the drone around, he checks out
