Gus 2000

Very Original for being Traditional

Congrats on a great design and flawless execution by a great cuemaker. My type of cue.

classic elements used in a way I have never seen. God damn cool!

Hey Marc, this is one of the cues we talked about some time ago... I think it came out exactly as Bob and I wanted it too. Even better!

What a cue,and the design takes that cue to another level. It takes someone like manzino to take a propeller cue to the next level. Manzino is a true artist, and his canvas is the cue!!! One of akind as always. Simplity beautiful, what a talent this man has. Rich Ford the skunk.

Yeah there are few ideas I have as well...Bob and I talked about them and who knows you may see them used in a future cue...As for matching JP's, they are in the works....

" The Captain "

" The Captain " strikes again on another stunner! Love his work, and a treat to work with!
Propellers are awesome design Tim, congrats!

Tim, could you share some specs on the cue, length, weight, etc? The one I'm always interested in is butt thickness, as I like the older standard. Anyhow, I would guess the end of the joint might be .845, and the end of the butt cap might be 1.295 or so. My favorite dimensions as well, it would just be interesting to see how close these are.

Again, great cue. This one has elements of both the past and present.

LOL, I can't believe I was .005 off on the butt cap end. I've got to sharpen up a bit....

All kidding aside, these are great specs, old-time butt thickness with a wee bit of extra length, I would guess most would say, to suit a modern dimension. Interesting choice on ferrule material. I also have a mix on some cues, ivory, ivorine, and juma on some.

I would imagine the cue feels good in the hand as well, with those dimensions.

Yeah. Geez.... 5 thousandths.. Your really loosing it Hoot ;)

The cue has 3 shafts. Sorry for the confusion...I had an extra shaft made with ivorine to play with. The 2 main shafts are both 4.2oz with Ivory....

im gonna have to agree, this is the type of cues that deserve cue of the year honors. I always thought that cue of the year had to be different, not the plain jane with fancy woods or traditional four point balabushka "tribute". But this is the type of "tribute" that challenges the idea of classic. it's very subtle, but very different. and it will kick off the idea of bringing back real playing wood, not just fancy burls and figured woods. this cue makes me want to play, not makes me want to look at it. manzino has been said to be the next big cuemaker, I think he already passed that and than some. his cues everytime they show up here are better built than the last one.
