Gus On Ebay Fake!!!!!

I have seen a lot of post stating the cue's value without authenticity at $100.00 to $200.00. Come on! Does any one question the cue as being a custom cue? Does the cue have 2 Ivory ferruled shafts? Is the workmanship so bad on the cue? Well if the cue has playablity that meets my standards, I would be willing to give $3000.00 for it. What the heck, I'll offer $2000.00 without playing with the cue.

Actually, I posted something like that.

There are $100 and $200 customs you know. Specially in my neck of the woods. It was also partially an exaggeration in reaction to an over $5000 starting bid price on ebay... on a "Gus" without a verbal ok from an authority.

Maybe it should be priced over what I said just to be fair. Thanks.

IMO without an avenue to properly authenticate the cue, it is worth what it otherwise liekly is....i.e. Horn, Patten, etc. Maybe $1500 tops. Just my thought and like anything else, it's obviously worth what someone will pay.

I regret the way my thoughts were elaborated in my earlier post. I just think things have gotten out hand. No one cares if the cues plays well only who made it. Yes, the Szamboti's I have played with do play very good, but I have played with cues that play much better.
