I've been thinking of this lately, and I haven't seen zany of the pool instructors speak of it, and I'm almost 99% certain that they exist in pool, now keep in mind that these habits are created by individuals themselves without actually knowing it, and they keep doing it until they get so used to it that if they don't do it , there will be a big chance that they miss the ball or even diminish and slow their speed slightly, if they/you don't do the habit that you are used to doing, your game will actually decrease by a level or two.
These habits I'm speaking of are all mostly while being down on the shot or some can be before the shot within seconds.
Some people are steadily down on the shot without any habits tho, these are the best kind (not necessarily best players) but they are the goods because there are less factors that would cause you to miss the shot or miss position.
I'll explain more visually about the habits so you could picture them, and give examples of actual players.
Habits can be anything really cause ppl create their own, it can be a tongue out while shooting, a mouth opened wide while down on the ball, eye lashes that keep moving up and down , shoulder that moves up before shooting, finger moves ( not just the middle one like in snooker but any really, also the middle one from snooker it's a habit ) an elbow on bridge hand that either go down further with strokes or go , it can be any habit really, anything that got nothing to do with the stroke itself or the aim, I can list more but it will be boring.
Now let me repeat one thing, if the player don't do their habit , they might still make the ball and position on easy shots , but it will diminish their game in the long run, they are so used to this habit while their down shooting.
You can see examples on the pros like Daz he shoots with tongue slightly out, he actually tried to get rid of this habit but his game went down slightly.
Also Justin Bergman have the habit of open his mouth wide after just one stroke or even straight once he goes down to shoot, if you know him personally ask him to close his mouth and play. And watch how his game will be slightly worst.
Now these habits can be removed if a guy wants but it really takes hell a lot of time to bring back your A game without the habit , it's really hard.
I'm bringing this up here to see what people think of this, have they thought about this before or am I too crazy
