Hammerhead jump/break with wood pin

i think there would only be a possibility of the pin snapping if you lean on it when you break.

i dont think this is new design, wooden joint was there for a while, kaiser, panther, longini, and some custom made do have wooden long threads on shafts.

i reckon it was learnt from 3-cushion cues.

i have more like this, but not hammerhead, reckon it is too expensive for that type of cue. but it is nice if you have a chance to try it.

Do you guys feel that this design is a good one, with the pin in the shaft?...I would think that there would be a higher possibility of the pin snapping. Am I wrong in this thought?...

IMO, the structural integrity would be the same between the 2, given the only difference being the location (read: not size/ material) of the pin.

ALso, as previously noted, carom/ 3cushion cues traditionally have the pi in shaft, and those balls are bigger and heavier that pool balls. Pin in shaft works for the world's best pocketless players- it'll be just fine for us hacks too.
