Hammond, LA.... Shooters or Legends?

It’s on James Leone’s Facebook page that he signed the lease for Lacy’s.

Agree it seems odd for him to take on a place in Chalmette, managing things from a distance doesn’t seem to be his strong suit.

Buffalo is perhaps the best pool hall owner I have ever seen. The few that could rival him are long gone to time. I'm sure there are other owners as good, I don't see them in my neck of the woods. Procrastination has done me in though, I never made it to Lacy's. I know what to expect now and it is great, just wish Lacy's had survived too.

Buffalo's hands on management is fantastic, can't be two places at once though. He has built up good personnel at Buffalo Billiards, perhaps he can move some staff around or perhaps he doesn't need to, like I said, I never made it to Lacy's. I heard it was a fantastic place but I was always afraid it was a white elephant, too much overhead for a pool hall. If anyone can make it work though, Buffalo can. I am not sure, Lacy's may be closer to me now or easier to access than his location in or near Harahan.

I can't get on facebook, I was one of the two billion bots they deleted and they are most persistent in keeping me off so your post is much appreciated!

Edit: If Buffalo is expanding he coulda put one little pool hall near me in Hammond. One big question is if Lacy's will remain nonsmoking or not. I am allergic to cigarette smoke. Hammond is sweet because all cigarette smoking is outlawed indoors at businesses or at bars and restaurants, not sure exactly how the law reads but there isn't the problem in Hammond of places without smoking losing business to people who allow it. I have never seen nonsmoking work when everywhere around them allows smoking. Everybody doesn't smoke but chances are some in the group do so the whole group goes where the smokers can smoke.

Orleans Parrish is nonsmoking, has been for a long time.
Buffalo’s 2, expansion, will also be nonsmoking. New room won’t qualify for grandfather exemption. That’s where I’ll be hanging out after the expansion opens.

Thanks! I didn't know what parish each one was in. I still won't get down often but nice to know the expansion is nonsmoking. Probably still a better shot than Lacy's, that is why I never quite get around to going to Lacy's. I hate risking the traffic snarls.
