getting the cue to slid smoothly

The reason, that I do not allow hand chalk is because of the mess made from it's use. People will have the stuff all over the Table (cloth and Rails) the floor, seating and every where else they touch![]()
.
What I teach my customers is how to maintain they shafts properly. In most cases this will solve the need for hand chalk in the first place. Like I said above, I will supply a glove for those people with sweaty palms![]()
By the way, depending on how wet the glove is when it is returnedI some times just let them kept it
. It is worth the expense to have a happy customer.

Fatboy said:i use baby powder, just enough to keep my hands dry, they sweat alot, i wash them every 30 minutes and wipe off the shaft with a barely damp towel to get the chalk off it, i can play an 8 hour session and not leave a trace of white powder on the table, any more than enough to dry my hands that would transfer to the table is a waste, any pool room that prohibits talk isnt a pool room its a bangers joint, even if guys use too much talc and i have seen stronger players than me leave a table look terrible or have to brush it down in a marathon set so what? thats the house mans job to brush down the tables it part of the business.
SILVER__WOMBAT said:ok lets put it this way, im just getting serious about pool, should i buy some talc or get a glove, i like the talc cause i dont look like mecheal jackson walking around wearing gloves, but i like the glove because theres no mess and it take up less space in my case...as a newbie what shout i get...btw i use an open bridge if that makes a diff![]()

worriedbeef said:use a glove, you can't get any smoother than that, and no hassle. your hands can sweat all they like and it won't make any difference.
