Handicap help

I need a 9 ball handicap system for a weekly tournament, it will be a single elimination, race to seven format. The players will range from beginner to pro level. I think it should be ranked from 2-11, not wanting to use games for a spot, or at worst, not more than 1. Anyone no a link or anything that can help. Thanks for any input!!!

What about a race to 3 double elimination tourney. The short race gives a lot of people a chance. Pros can spot the rest 1 game on the wire.

We have short races now and everyone is complaining, I used to play at Brass Tap in Raleigh NC and they had a race to 7, single elimination, and you could rebuy if you lost your first round. Archer, Earl and a lot of good players would play in it and the handicap was fair, just wish I could remember it. They would get 40-50 players every week.

I play at brass tap almost every tournament that they have. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Their handicap system goes in increments on half points from SL3-SL15; they all are races to 7 and the most weight you can give someone is 4 games and the called 8 on a race to 7. You can only rebuy in the first round if there are "byes" left. Their handicap system is pretty simple, pretty much your handicap goes up half a point if you win a tournament that has over 20 people in it, if it has under 20 then your handicap stays the same. This tournament attracts a lot of people every week, so you would have to adjust yours depending on how many people go to your tournament. I helped designed the handicap system at hot shots billiards that runs on saturdays now. I could probably help you with something. PM me if you are interested.
