Thank you for the birthday wishes! It's finally a nice day here in D.C., and I'm heading out to the racetrack!

It's a nice way to start out my birthday, hearing from AzBilliards, and I will have a Budweiser for you, Landshark77 -- maybe a couple! ;)

Hi, Luke! Although the nags at Laurel seem like dogs at times, they're thoroughbred horses! :D

Shows how much I know. The track in Laurel doesn't have the slots also do they? I know MD was talking about it....just not sure if it passed.

LS77, Laurel is currently a racetrack for thoroughbred horses, with no slots.

About Charlestown, I remember this track pre-slots. It wasn't very big at all, and across the street from the track, there used to be a couple of pool taverns with ACTION!

Last time we went to Charlestown, I was very pleasantly surprised at how much this place had developed. Located in the foothills of West Virginia, it is absolutely gorgeous. West Virginia truly is God's country (IMO)!

While I remember the ractrack pre-slots. I do not remember the taverns...I guess I was much to young. :( Anyway, it surely has developed. They are supposed to be building a hotel ontop of the casino/track soon. WV will have it's own little Vegas, LMAO! :D

Thanx for the info JAM and sorry to hijack your birthday thread Keith. I hope you had a GREAT one.
