Well I'm serving our country too, except I'm in Thailand on leave. Wanna trade places? At least you have some internet there, hopefully you have a pool table or something. I was playing pool today and the table sucks and playing with an oak pool cue with crappy tip and felt is a challenge.

Now that's funny because I was just in Thailand (Pattaya) in August for 17 days. I know EXACTLY what your talking about with those cues and tables!!! But you forgot to mention that most of the tables are at the "outside" beer bars. LOL good times.

I was in Pattaya for a week, yeah, too many lady distractions too.
I am in Chiang Mai now and the tables and cues are even worse. The cues I played with here are very round and are solid oak. They would make a nice defense weapon. There were a couple places in Bangkok that used some decent 2 piece cues. At the moment, playing pool is low on my priority list,
especially since the equipment isn't so great.
