This was the tournament where Efren and Parica showed up, and Twig got second. A lot of the players' names are incomplete, so you'll probably have to be familiar with southern California players to know anyone beside the top guns.

Nice website Cranky, nice format for the calendar, just a shame there's not many So. Cal. events to put in it!. Perhaps you could include the daily tournaments at Hardtimes and Danny K's? What about some of the 3 Cushion rooms in KoreaTown?

I didn't make the brackets, but I agree that they are in a nice format! I'll let their webmaster know that the link is broken. I don't know if they plan to do more with socal tournaments, but it would be nice. :)

I heard Efren was in town and had won H/Times 1pocket and 9-ball that weekend. I recognize a number of the local guys, but who is Twig?

hes a local guy i think, some of the hard times regulars seemed to know him.

He's a HardTimes regular, though not a top player. It's surprising he made it that far, but he had a very good draw, as did I, since we were on the same half of the chart away from Efren and Jose. I was two matches away on the winner's side from meeting Efren for the hot seat, only to lose hill-hill twice.

twig aslo beat jesse mohica, who placed very high in the bca 8-ball this year, 2nd or 3rd, i think. i haven't seen jesse's name anywhere else, but it looks like he;s a good player
