The home page info on the jamboree is wrong. Cliff Joyners' first loss was to Daniel Wallace of San Diego, not Damian from LA. Wallace played very good against him. For those who don't know him, he won the San Diego one pocket championship two years in a row, runs well over 100 balls at straight pool, and shoots strong nine ball too. Cliff was sleeping for awhile before the match and maybe wasn't in top shape, but Daniel played real strong.
Ronnie Allen lost 3-0 to Amar Kang. Highlight of this match: Ronnie calling Amar stupid 3x for thinking he might foul a ball he was shooting that was almost, but not, frozen to the cue ball. Amar responds "Thats ok Ronnie, I still like you" and proceeds to drill Ronnie. Amar was right to have someone look at the shot, by the way. Ronnie is still in on the losers side.
Damian Alishan and Kid D went hill-hill on the winners side. Damian ran 8 and out from the break on the hill- he'd made a ball on an earlier break in the same match.
Buddy Hall is playing awesome. The match with Tony was very entertaining. Buddy ran 8 and out when Tony had four balls within a half diamond of his hole one game, playing perfect positon.
