They say that Worst was the best.
at the time he was considered like the filler or gorst is now.
since all the conditions of pool have changed since then, we will never know and can only guess,
how he would do now or filler would do back then. and just assume each would still be near the top or at the top.

And still would be today!
Efren would be close but had No chance in 3C!
Who, Worst or Efren?
The era of 3C late 50's-early 60's was Not at its top form!
Hoppe retired, Ray Kilgore became 'Champion' Not a Top player!
Worst came along, played in few US held Pro World Championships before he finally beat Kilgore for the title!
I began to play when I was 18 in 63, only a few years before Worst died.
Worst was considered a 'Hard' 3C player, heavy handed with stroke, not a 'Finesse' player like the Amateur European players!
If Worst played the 'Same' style of play in His prime, I would have won!
Like He, I played my Best for the Big $!
In today's International 3C game and He played the 'Same' style He would be a C+-B- player, 0.950-1.1!
